The climate zones were developped by the US Department of Agriculture. The climate zones define the minimum temperatures during the year. Every climate zone includes an area of 10 °Fahrenheit (or 5,5 °Celsius).
You can search for plants which siut a specific hardiness, either through your input of a desired minimum temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) or the USDA zone.
